Thx for joining in guys. Well there was progress. After some wrestling with the oldie, aka lots if ferkin sanding and a lot of effort to keep it all together, we have a kiel!!! The deck is not glued, just there to keep the sides in the correct position. A lot of filling and sanding will be needed.....

Looks excellent. I'm not sure if I have one of these, but I do have a couple other 1/72 scale boats to do. I'll be following along with this.

Great choice. I'd just got married when this was first released and had it as my Christmas present. Don't think I've aged as good as the kit.

Work proceeds on this one also. Includes a lot of filling and sanding. Slowly it is getting there.

As Robbo stated it need a lot of sanding. Actually not too much to be honest. Then some grinding on the sides of the keel, so the deck could sit properly. Then some means of persuasion to stay the ferk there..... I will let it be for tonight and continue tomorrow.

Paul, when i'm home i leave the work stuff at work. š Thanx guys for taking a look. The kit is actually very good. Fit is much better than i dared to hope a d flash is minimum at very few parts. Less than ten...... So slowly but steadily the schnellboot is progressing. Subassemblies are getting finnished, checked for fit and will be placed after painting. Hopefully more tomorrow.
