Hadn't posted an update on this project in awhile. I got the deck permanently fixed to the hull and then I installed the 16 and 5 inch turrets as well as the quad 40 pits, most of which are photo etch. I have the rails installed on the main deck level and I am starting the rails on the 2nd level next.

Thanks, Steve! It definitely feels like a different type of build. Also, with ships there is much more "paint and finish as you go" since you basically build and paint all the individual components as modules and then just tack it altogether at the end.

Well, it only took two years but she is finally finished. I got all the superstructure assemblies attached to the hull and gave her a final flat coat. She's going to be sold to a friend of mine and will end up on display on the mantle.
