Chaps. This is where my build will slow down. In an attempt to make the build look fairly accurate, I purchased this... Best described as self adhesive, textured, clear vinyl, it comes on a sheet. Although it's clearly marked out, it's not die cut meaning you need a sharp knife to cut each piece out. I've only tried one piece but the effect is very good and in scale, should look great when primed and painted.

Pretty cool, Mence. The only option for mine is to make it. Don't know if I'm willing to attempt it in this scale. I did get my suspension in place after figuring out the directions were totally wrong as far as what went where, and asking Mence. After getting the arms in place, the next issue was lining them up so all the wheels would be flat. The parts are fitted over keyed bosses. As you can see they didn't even come close to lining up. After some light twisting I was able to get them in line. Hopefully all 12 will hit the ground. So We ended up here. And that's that. AAACW

Thank you, Gents. A small bump in the road. I'm hoping the rest of the build isn't the same way.

Nice zimmerit Mence , that looks a lot easier than the tried and truisted putty and homemade tool method . Jeff the running gear can be a tad annoying, I know. But I reckon you got it by the short and curlies . Have thought about Zimmerit too? Not too difficult in this scale, all you need is TET and small screwdriver . I get a pic in a PM to you of my King Tiger to show you later

Chaps. Zim is on. I used about 95% of it. I left a few bits off and also cut a few bits up a little to simulate some damage. It turns out to be far more straightforward to use than I expected, I will certainly use it on my next 1/48 build, the Sturmtiger. And here we are, primed with base colour on.

Cheers buddy, it's a bit lost under primer and paint, I'm hoping a wash will bring it back a little.

That zimm is new to me, the only stuff I could get was the Eduard brass, which was challenging 😖. Looks the business Prof.
Jeff, she's fighting but your wrangling it into line.
Excellent stuff chaps

Good work Jeff, you've got it on the ropes now! Makes you wonder if Italeri or Trumps kits are any better?
