Phil, Welcome aboard this flight of fancy. Ian, Paul & Mark, They certainly have presence and now they have colour. The colours look a little bright but in reality are darker. I intend to use the black tinted "Klear" trick to pop the details a bit more, so hopefully it will all tone down some more. 2 bang seats. In the pit.
All closed up.
As ever with wingy things not a lot will be visible but the painting was theraputic. Hope you like and more soon. Tim

Small update. Darkend wash of "Klear" applied and the seats now look like this. Next up the decals added. Need to get a flat coat on and then call these finished and get on with the rest of the build. More soon. Tim

This has been like a wrestle with an octopus. One seam at a time to bring it all together bit by bit, with clamps and tape everywhere. Still progress is progress and this is where we stand today. Two basic units. Wings and engines plus cockpit. Rear end almost complete and then I can join the cockpit section and install the intakes. Dry fitted the canopy to check for fit and this is the view inside. More soon. Tim

Might have been a wrestling match, but you got by the bollards fella . Excellent view into the office too . Have you done anything to the canopy, or is straight from the box?

Marco & Ian, Glad you like and thanks for the coments. More progress. No longer held toghether with tape and clamps, this is now one BIG lump of plastic (and 2ozs of lead in the nose) which despite the struggles has turned out quite well. Some of the joins however left gaps which I did not fancy having to use filler on. So I went back in the archives (darkest corners of my head.... and don't ask) and used an old trick to fill them. Airfix used to provide a very thin sheet of plastic for the belts etc on their 54mm figures. I have quite a bit of this and used as follows. Push the sheet into the gaps and then run a little TET along it. When dry, sharp blade to remove and bingo, no nasty gap. If need be you can double the sheet up and fill larger gaps. In the second picture you can see areas that have been treated. Finally the under wing goodies which will be used. Back to work tomorrow therefore updates as and when. Tim

I like the filler idea. Gonna have to consider that for a few of my builds.

Time to call a halt on this one. Approximately 96% constructed but need some primer (rather a lot) and to order the paints to mix up the main colour.
More when I get the re-supply.

We'll that is a big one you've got there Tim As for the pause due to consumables, I've now started planning ahead due to the problems of not just being able to get in the car and get what I need.
