Okay fellas, the primer is dry but I haven't taken pics of that , we all know what grey is like . So I went straight in there this afternoon with Revell anthracite 09 and a mix of Humbrol 119 + 160. This is the beginning of the rustifaction . I have shed load of colourful acrylics on the way , with these I hope to get some good rusty tones/shades going on here . As always ACW dudes

Boots, appreciated mucker Guy, good to know you approve with your specialist eyes my friend . Pete, many thanks mucker . Dicky, cheers also sir . Des, appreciated ole ale buddy . Jeff, thank you indeed fella . Mr. Boggster, what a pleasure my fine friend . Many thanks indeed sir . Here's todays rustifying for thee all . I got my new paints and made a rusty mix from them, sorry I can't tell exactly what the mix was as I didn't count the drops at all . The colours: The mix: On the Bergepanzer: The next step is to seal this in with an enamel matt , then hairspray and then try to get some camo and internal colour remnants in place . Bravo, Paul. What did you thin the paint with? I've got no experience with the Mr.Hobby acrylics.

Boots, cheers mate . Glad I bought them colours now , wouldn't work without 'em. Pete, many thanks mucker . Jeff, thanks also sir . The Mr. Hobby acrylics are darned good IMHO. They don't need any thinning at all, but to stretch this small amount of paint I added a few drops of window cleaner . Also they don't dry up in your nozzle, which many other brands do .

Guy, many thanks mucker . Just pray that all goes more or less to plan . Dicky , cheers indeed Sir . I can say it a tad easier than I expected . But then again maybe it's too early to say that yet . Des, thanks for your confidence matey , but that part is more difficult than I thought . Marco, many thanks my Brazilian friend . Okay, so I got the hairspray on, which turned out to be too much, which you'll see in a moment . After the HS came Vallejo off-white, which is a sort of creamy colour, on next. This I left for about and hour to settle down and dry off decently , then I came back with a glass cleaner-alcohol-warm water mix to start the removal/chipping. This is where the too heavy a layer off HS took it's revenge . Instead of scrubbing off as if scuffed or just worn down, the white came off in huge amounts. So I took Berge H. to the tap and just washed the lot out . The result was in fact close to that what I was after, but not quite right yet . Here's the piccies for you Off-white and HS Off-white off I shall try and get a little (very little) amount of white back in there, and for this I'll try the sponge method , like a reversed chipping.
