Marco me ole buddy cheers Sir . The oils are now dry so I can get back into this now . I wanted to add some paint remnants of the original off-white interior, so I got a piece of plastic bag and brush painted Vallejo off-white onto it and let it dry. Once dry I pulled it carefully off of the bag and laid the paint scab on my cutting mat. This was then attacked with a scalpel and stuck to the inside of the tank. No glue was needed, this stuff sticks of its own accord but it is also removable. Here's the pics So what do you guys think , keep it and add some more or take it off ?

Personally I think you better leave them off as they're screaming for attention Paul. If you like them, leave them where they are mate. It does look like the real thing but isn't it even better to use alu foil as it's even thinner ?

IMHO they would look a lot better if you flattened them out. I think they stick out too much. The two flakes you put at the end of the driveshaft look good, They are much flatter and look more realistic.

Guy that seems like sound advice fella . I too thought about what this needs on extra work, which is gonna need some thinking out and practice . So for this time I have removed the stuff . Jeff, I know what mean mucker, but leaving it in there would mean some serious work getting it to look right. So for now the idea has been shelved . The flaky paint will return another day, this I promise you . Anyway I still made a little progress after removing the flaky paint , here's nature getting back what's hers . The battery still needs some work, I'll get that done tomorrow . Grass tufts from Green Stuff, moss from Noch, leaves are real made with a Green Stuff punch device, the sticks are small root bits from the garden . ACW muckers

I think that flaking paint idea is one of the best I've seen Paul! I'm going to have a shot at that. It may suit 1/16 stuff better, can't wait to try.

And the excellent work continues.
That's a neat idea for the peeling paint. I think you're spot-on with a few straggler bits clinging to the interior. After 70 years there really wouldn't be much left.
As far as the foliage, I like it. It's not overdone and covering up those interior bits you worked so hard on.

superb idea and very effective, I do think less would be better with smaller areas lifting off. The engine bay looks superb, like a squirrel has decided to nest in there.

Bill, that would defo work on a 1/16 fella . With this being paint it's also possible to react the stuff. Add a tiny drop of alcohol to a brush and gently go over the area that should still be stuck to the wall, this will liquefy itself and stick forever. Boots, many thanks indeed my best mushty Alex, cheers fella . I always appreciate your words as you see things a little different Pete , I did look for a squirrel last weekend but couldn't find one , cheers also dude Jeff , according to you very much . Marco , muchas grassyass brodude . Gary , I can hardly believe that I have given the Jedi-master a tip for his notebook . You can use you all need fella, it be my pleasure sir. Thanks also mushty Here's yesterdays and todays doings. Got the hull parts together and they needed a little filler, which wasn't a big surprise. But I managed to blend that in by mixing rusty pigments into the stuff first. The outside then got some more rust colours airbrushed on. The running gear isn't yet fixed in place, this was only popped on for the pics . More soon muckers, as always ACW

Very nicely AB’d Paul I know it’s only placed but the wonky running gear sort of suits it too

I'm a big fan of blending tones in the paint job Paul . Yours is spot on . The nature taking over effect is very effective .
