Whilst I await the re-supply for the Tornado thought I would crack this one open.
Whilst not all is glued in place I am up to step 20 in one day, and really enjoying the new style Airfix. Currently it is falling together rather nicely. Of course sod's law dictates that having made such a pronouncment things will go pear shaped in the not so distant future. A few pictures, IP and bang seat in tub. IP in tub. Lastley, closed up in fuselage. More tomorrow before a return to work on Wednesday. Tim

Tim,this is a nice kit. Just don't hurry it,and be feckin' careful with any moulding edges. Fit on this is extremely tight,if you don't trim down accurately!

Paul, Ian, Marco and Pete, Welcome to some more madness and glad you like the progress so far. Chris, Thanks for the advice. Only problem so far has been the rear end. The 'zaust was having none of it. Brute force and ignorence with a smattering of Viking sorted that. Will be ever so cautious going forward. Fuselage is now joined and did a little more work on the office. The rest is dry fitted just to see how this might look. Back to work in the morning so more as and when. Tim

Hopefully yes on the weight front. Destructions call for 2ozs, the same as for the BIG BIRD! Hopefully both will avoid the dreaded tail sit.
Not sure about lucky bugger, but sure am glad to still be working, even if it's a 3 day week.

The joins are invisible! Great fill/sand work! The joins are there, but the design team at Airfix really have come up trumps with this kit. The top wing section is one piece that sits over the fuselage and hence reduces the joint problems including the wing roots. Sanding is minimal therefore.

Thanks for looking in and the comments gents. Primed and ready for colour, some of which may well flow tomorrow. In the mean time to wet the appetite. Came up a little grainy but a quick rub down with some 12,000 soon sorted that out. Time to light the bbq and open a few bottles of beer Tim
