A request for information if I may. I have seen a museum piece in this camo scheme with the same identification stripes added and, as befits a museum piece, it is very shiny.
My question therefore is, were they gloss, semi gloss or matt finish in service?

My guess is: MATT (maybe the stripes are shiny) but, I repeat, it's a guess from an army vehicles builder.

Have you PM'd Ceebee? I'd say matt, but I'm not really sure.

My thanks to Chris for his assistance (and Paul for stating the bleedin' obvious which I had overlooked). Currently involved in on of the biggest decal sessions I have ever undertaken Purple indicates decals applied the rest still to go, and thats just the common stencils, roundels etc are on the colour guide! This is where I am at present and maybe another day or two to go on the decals. The underside is finished and now looks like this. Whilst the decals are small they do add to the overall effect and are well worth the time spent. Having said that I managed to loose 3 whilst handling but I can live with that. Eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted the other issue. I had intended to have the canopy shut, but my masking was found wanting and bleeding occured. Fortunately the kit comes with open option so a quick replacement. Plus side is that the interior work is now more accesible\evident. On a personal level I have been furloughed for 3 weeks so maybe time to finish some projects without guilt. Tim

Glad to have been of assistance, it's always a pleasure to point our elderly members the in right direction Now that is a large amount of stickers Tim . Also, to absolutely honest, I reckon the open canopy looks better

Also, to absolutely honest, I reckon the open canopy looks better I think you mean "in the right direction" but with age you will sort it out - trust me I know, it took me some time!
Also, hate to admit it, but I agree, it does look better with an open canopy and because of that, "Big Bird" is going to get the open look as well. Even if the only reason is to see the "bang seats" more clearly.

I must admit the open canopy is my preferred option & it's good you get a choice with the kit as well. Looks super.

Finally got the last decals on and ready to call it finished. Weather permitting I will do some outside shots tomorrow, but for now it is I think the end.
Just noticed the underwing tanks not on so will attach before final shots.

Thanks gents, As promised a few outdoor shots. And my favorite picture of them all.
This now goes off to find a home in the cabinet. Next up back to the 432 as Marco has rekindled the interest with his "Berlin Brigade" rendition. Tim
