While I wait for the final flat coat on my TIE fighter to harden off I thought I’d kick off another build. This time one of my all time favourite aircraft.. the Ju-87 Stuka. I’ve loved the shape of this since building the 1/24 kit many many moons ago in the late 70’s. When I find one at the right price I’ll build it again.. Until then here’s Airfix’s newish 1/72 Progress so far

Welcome along fellas cockpit and a few other bits done. Just a coat of RLM02 and bit of detail, a wash and dry brush = done in this scale Then fitted the 3 parts together, dry fitting shows that the fuse was a bit thin for the cowlings, easy to fill the gap in front of the ‘pit though. Good job I didn’t glue it all together first That’s it for now

Hi all, had a day off work today so spent an hour on my Stuka de-bugging the airframe after a coat of primer. It’s starting to look like an aeroplane and fun to do And also a little Brucie Bonus.. Trumpy’s 1/72 T-28 which I primed at the same time. This’ll be in a winter wash. Trumpy completely missed the frame aerial even though they show it on the box and painting guide. Not on the actual instructions though. It’s okay as there are pics of frameless turrets dated 1940

Certainly starting to looking menacing there even if once it started to face modern aircraft designs its limitations were very much exposed.

Great work on the stuka & that T-28, that's fab. I'd be hard pressed to say it's small scale without you telling us.
