Excellent looking Stuka! The T-28 looks impressive for 1/72nd scale.

Brilliant work Steve! The Stuka looks great. I am also building a T-28; I'm doing the two-tone camouflage. I've already done the base coat but lost the two smaller turrets so can't go on till I find them...

They both look great, Steve. That Stuka really looks crisp under primer.

Hiya all, we have paint. All home mixed Tamiya colours. The Italians loved their Ju-87B’s and used then heavily, to the point that they had to stop drive bombing due to airframe fatigue. Some aircraft were refurbished in Italian workshops and there’s a lot of talk around what colour they were refinished in, all of which I have no interest at all I just wanted a used look. Canopy is still masked and there’s a bit of touching up to do but ‘nuff talk here’s a pic

To use the well known phrase “ calling this done” Junkers Ju-87B2R of the 209 Squadriglia, 96 Gruppo, North Africa campaign. Sun faded and well used was the look I was after, I think I’m part way there but happy enough. Good points, my new Mr Hobby AB gives a really smooth finish and is very controllable. Kit goes together well with nice details. Bad points, Pmask vinyl paint mask for canopy didn’t want to stay in place when I was applying it then wouldn’t come off without a lot of picking at the edges , marking some of the clear parts when I wanted to remove it. It also left a sticky residue which took the Klear with it when I washed it off with Tamiya thinners. Never had that before ! The Pmask cost £2.30 against Eduard £6.99 for theirs. I guess I got what paid for Here’s the reveal And here’s the real thing in 1941 in RAF hands. Slightly different markings but you can see the faded paint. Pic for reference only.

Shame about the masking Steve, I either make my own or stick, as you said to Eduard . This has however turned into a very nice Stuka ole chap, the fading is darned good IMHO as is the overall look of this iconic bird

Wow Steve fantastic result! Looks bigger than 1/72 because your attention to the details and great paint work! Shame about the mask, and I must confess that I always have problems masking everything...
