I made some more progress on the Italian F-104S and finally got an update up. I did some more post shading and then I gave the plane a wash of Raw Umber Oils and Mineral Spirits to highlight those thousands of beautiful Hasegawa rivets. I also drew in the panel lines with an .005 Micron Ink Pen. Since the fuselage work is done, I will paint the radome and anti-glare panel next.

Thank you, Marco! Small update on the F-104S as I have painted the radome. The Eagle Strike sheet called out a white radome but photos indicated more of a very pale grey. I used Mission Models FS36622 which I had on deck for the F-105D refurb. I will let this cure up and than add the black anti-glare panel.

Small update on the F-104S. I got the radome painted and used FS36622 TAC Grey as the radomes are more dirty white/grey, rather than pure white. I then added the anti-glare panel and used AK NATO Black for that. I also did some more post-shading using the Lifecolor Italian Sky Grey, tinted with Acryl White. As stated before, this -104 will feature four drop tanks borrowed from the Olive Drab/Grey camo F-104s which was pretty common with the overall grey birds. The Italian AF Olive Drab color was hard to pin down but I found a great match using Model Master US Army Helo Drab, tinted with some yellow. The tank undersides are Vallejo Aluminum. Next will be some oil paint work to add some more grime.
