Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. A few more pictures to give a flavour of what the finished figure will look like. Only part missing here is the sword. Onwards and sideways to the finish. Tim

Decided it was time to get the base sorted.
What I need now is a plinth to put it on. The leaves are seed from a Silver Birch tree that I collected many moons ago and have never got round to using. Hopefully it gives the impression of a woodland scene. Tim

Excellent stuff, the birch seeds do indeed give it that woodland look.

Thank you my "Three Amigos" glad you like. More progress, shield now attached. Pattern is free style and, whilst not perfect it has a certain "rustic" charm. Sword to go then I can run around and touch things in and think of the finish line. See you soon. Tim

I think the shield is quite fitting for a warrior of the Teutoburger Wald .

Marc, Paul B, Steve M, Pete, Ian M & PorcoRosso, thanks for dropping in and your comments. Much appreciated. I am calling this done for now, going to let it all settle down and then touch up any nasties at some time in the future. We have some bonsai in the garden so selected one and took some outside pics to mark the crossing of the line. Hope you like and as ever, all comments welcome. Not sure what comes next. The stash is somewhat empty and as I am awaiting some replacement parts for the Tornado, that is on hold. Might pull my finger out and get the Nagmachon finished. Been on the shelf for to long I think. Tim

Brilliant job! I think he must have taken a bath since he looks so clean. The Bonsai tree really looks outstanding next to him! Way to go man!

Tim, beautiful work on the figure. Your work on the eyes is so realistic and the paintwork on the shield really tops it off. Well done, sir.
Regards,
Ian
