Cheers fellas glad you approve. I’ve been warned by two people to put a clear coat on it to seal it. Are talking about a Klear coat? Don’t want to lose the shine and am now scared to use micro set / sol on it

If Alclad have a gloss varnish I’d use that to be safe? It looks great by the way

I would imagine it would have to be a purpose made gloss to suit mate......stick with the Alclad range but i`d do some homework to see if it does have any underlying effects by applying over a special colour rather than a general one, i know handling with fingers too much will dull the chrome finish so i recommend some lint free cheap cotton gloves to avoid the oils from ya pinkies Prof may be able to advise as well

BeforE boots told me about a clear coat I tested the durability of the alclad by rubbing my finger along one edge, said edge has turned black and I just can’t be bothered to do it all again for a two bob kit. I have got to get back building

Ooops............yeah the edges are where the paint is at it`s thinnest mate, i use cheap cotton gloves as i mentioned earlier and avoid handling......or rubbing surfaces At least you know you can pull it off using the chrome mate...........a learning curve for sure regarding handling and also you know the procedure for the future spaceship ya might build
