I started this kit early last year not long after it had been released. As you can see I've painted the wings, but not done much to the fuselage. I'm hoping to get it finished this year.

Excellent! I like this already. That is an interesting approach painting the wings before adding them to the fuselage. I might even consider trying that once.

Thank you Marco, Boots, Ian, and Robbo. I've used gouache to weather the wing and highlight the panel lines. I still need to clean it up a little more, then I can add the other details on the lower side of the wing.

Next up will be to make a start on the fuselage.

Boots, Paul and, Guy. Thank you gentleman. I thought I'd go back to using gouache on this one. I used to use it all the time.

I take it you just turn it into a wash Joe and do a pin wash .........Acrylic or enamel gouache

I take it you just turn it into a wash Joe and do a pin wash .........Acrylic or enamel gouache Hi Boots, it's an acrylic gouache. Sometimes I thin it with water, but what your looking at was applied straight from the tube with a brush. Then wiped off with a damp piece of kitchen roll. I do this on a gloss finish, or it tends to stain to much. You can't see much, but a black gouache was used on the Skyraider in the photo I posted as an example of sub-assemblies. If you look carefully, you can make out the black panel lines.
