Your very kind.
I don't like the photos as they make it look too messy but it isn't to the naked eye

Thanks Carl.
This PE is doing my head in. This idea about painting it, fixing it and walk away, rubbish, touch it with the tweezers and the paint falls off, they don't tell you that on You tube do they. What I've done will need touching up

Robbo......i quite often use a minute piece of Blu-Tac on the end of a cocktail stick, i shape it to the cocktail stick point in my fingers and you have a sticky pin as such.........all i then do is just touch the etch and it sticks lightly to the tac......i only use tweezers to move it into place as such, also there is a proper etching primer but ya gotta spend money on that and whose to say the same thing won`t happen with that!!
I gotta be honest.....i`m not a fan of painting on the fret so i don`t do it, i prefer to pick out afterwards.....things like the ladders/railings i would have attached to the build and then primed/painted etc.....much like i did with the Faun mucker

I'm with Boots . Maybe next time attach it to the model first and then paint it .

It can hold a bit too much paint if you attach it first and look a bit overscale. Painting it first is the way to go, you can shape it first though

Good point on the over-scaling with the paint Steve......i`m tend to be a bit on the tight side when it comes to priming with etch attached simply for that reason, i defo agree on the shaping before hand if ya can do it on the fret

Before touching up, you can see how small these bits are

Ian after hearing all this and looking at the PE I have for my Tirpitz, I would try and give it a very careful sanding first. This would roughen the surface to take the primer and paint better. PM incoming dude .

That picture makes my comment look impractical Rob . What a pain it would have been to paint those ladders and railing after attaching .Nicely done .

You really don't get a feel of how small this stuff is, I'll get a pic against something for comparison
With the different colours being used, I wouldn't like to try to paint these after being fixed
Working in these temperatures is sapping my energy levels at the moment so finding it hard to get to the bench on top of this, Mrs Robbo has got a dead car, so we've spent our evenings searching on line for a new one, going to look at the one we want tomorrow after work

Actually done a bit more PE today, unbelievably hot in the room so I didn't last too long.
Gone down one side of the flight deck and just made a start on the other side
Want to put this one to bed soon so I can get my teeth into the T54

Robbo,
Thought you had another "Enterprise" to do before that?
