More progress on the Whiskey Cobra. I got the fuselage closed up and the Verlinden cockpit fit perfectly in the halves and no sanding was required at all. There are two conduits that feed into the crew seats and Verlinden provides resin pieces for that but they are straight and I did not see them bending very well, even if heated. Instead, I used pieces of .042 gauge guitar string which I could cut and bend as I needed. There are a few sink marks on the fuselage so I filled those and I am also working on the spine and belly seams. All in all, the fit is very good, just horrible kit instructions. Stay tuned........ Regards, Ian

I really like the rivet detail on this, helicopters often have a shed built look to them and this captures that nicely. Nice office too

Thanks Steve! Yes, MRC did a great job with the raised rivet detail and it is very accurate for the Whiskey Cobra.

The AH-1W is almost ready for primer. I got the large canopy pieces dipped in Pledge Floor Wax and then masked and installed them after they dried. The fit of the clear pieces was really good and they are held in place now by white glue. Next I will spray the clear parts Flat Black and then apply some primer. Regards, Ian
