Stunning work John I used the Hiroboy carbon fibre on my `Ninja` ........had fun and games getting it to shape the rounded areas......in fact i think i used half a bottle of Sol in the end but it laid down perfickly........ya done a grand job for sure mucker

Cheers Boots, this is probably the same Hiroboy carbon decal sheet then. The weave looks a little large, but says it’s 1:12 scale. Also stole the missus’ hairdryer, and that helped soften decal as well. I’ve watched the videos online but never tried that approach either, definitely nerve racking first time out 😳.

S`funny.......i doubted the weave first hand (1:12), once i got the gloss coats on it looked ok, i`ll have to see if i`ve still got any build pics......she is about 90% finished and sitting wrapped in sub assemblies in tissue and a safe container

It does look big. But reference photo sheet with kit has quite big looking carbon weave. I got a sheet of 1:20 scale as well. Bought them for Williams, and have to admit 1:20 weave looks more suitable for that. (When I get around to it 🙄)

Cheers Boots, good idea. Probably only do to ones that show. Have to admit to not fitting half of the AM parts as this bike will have fairing on and won’t see most of it.

That is always a downside on the AM gear, lots of it just disappears under other stuff . I'm still sure that this will look bloody stunning when done though
