I've given this an all over oil wash to stop it looking so clean looking, got to wait ages now for it to dry but never mind, I've go a week off in four days with loads of me time on the cards

Cheers fellas. How long does it take an oil was to dry as I usually use enamel washes

Usually about 24-36 hours if the air is fairly dry.

Cheers Smudge
I'll bring it in the house to dry Ian as my little room is a brick built out building and very cold and damp

It’s now sitting in a window sill right near a radiator

Ian, what colour exactly did you apply for the wash? It must be the photo/light but it looks a bit brown-reddish? When you add a little ultramarine blue to the brown it gets a bit colder and more shadowy.

Ian btw. don't alter the whole Challenger with my wash tip but pick a small hidden spot to see if you like to test what I said here above. And if so keep it more brown than blue and thin, as a blue wash would ruin your fantastic tank.

Right it was burnt umber and the flash has made the wash look more colourful than it is
