Take your time mate, I have to peel off rubbish paintwork more than just once. It says you set your personal bar high.

Cheers Guy. Colours after now definitely much better, the pattern... Mmeehhh, not so much. But tbh, I'll take it for this. Mental notes made on masking for the future. This is the putty I used and I have to say very impressed, even on a single use. You need to almost "snap" bits off the block to use because if you try and pull it apart you end up with fine spaghetti or hair like strands. Once used it peels off very easily. No residue and so far no damage to delicate parts. Highly recommended. Got mine from FOG Models and it was a very good price. Less than £10 IIRC.

Not too shabby at all Paul . And good to hear the weirdo putty doesn't snap bits off when removing

I’ve got some Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty which I’ve used for many years now. It’s not cheap (but cheaper than Panzer Putty), the one big advantage is unlike say Blu-Tack you can use it again and again as the paint magically ‘disappears’ into the putty. It’s also a lot easier to work with.
As for small parts, you still have to be careful as it flows and sticks to itself given half a chance.

Beautiful camouflage work! I like it. As for the putty, I use Silly Putty; it does all yours does at a fraction of the cost. I get mine for 99 cents per egg at a local store. Five of them gives me a little more than that tin at half the cost. Silly Putty is also re-usable, I've been using the same blob of Silly Putty for over a year now; masking and painting over forty models. I'm lookin' forward to seeing more on this. Gotta love a well- painted box!

Cheers chaps, well its filter time... And serendipity came along for fun. The second filter coat was a bit too heavy and. I need up with this: That'll save on some weathering later

As serendipity gives, karma takes... Flat coat after decals buried the rain marks, so will need to revisit that bit. Ah well.. Nothing disastrous.

Stowage added, it is a wee bit garish but I will tone in down. Also got started on the tracks. Outside bits done, just need to get the inner surfaces sorted.
