Very nice! Nice touch with the potato mashers as paperweights on the maps.

Thanks, it is a nice idea. Got a small wine bottle I could have used but not sure if the Officer would have approved.

Stunning to say the least . The worn winter camo on the Panther might just have given me the push to attempt that also . And this is all 1/48?

OK we have another passionate dio builder! Great idea to use those potatoe mashers as weights.

The winter camo is VMS chip and nick (white), but I think I’ve bunged up my airbrush.

An easy option is a light powdering with Tamiya weathering master Snow. Not too shabby.

Or a heavy snow fall with Tamiya powder snow effect. This was my very first crack at a diorama.

Stunning to say the least . The worn winter camo on the Panther might just have given me the push to attempt that also . And this is all 1/48? Yes, all in the glorious 1/48. I don’t have much room in my apartment for 1/35 and 1/72 is too small for my eyes.

Though I did have better results with this one. The mud is Mr Hobby mud and wet clear for the surface water.

One last thing before bed. I read the book - The 12th SS, about the Div in Normandy. I was impressed with the book so much I wanted the sequel, but they sell it for 300 quid on Amazon. Anyway I researched and the HJ Div took part in the Ardennes. Tried to put some Hj Div markings on my vehicles but just wouldn’t take. Too thin lines. Anyway, with that in mind I have an American POW to go on. Made his blanket with VMS paper shaper. Not too shabby.

So the story is, is the POW on his way to a prison camp or is he going to end up another war crime statistic? ??

POW Tommy, it's getting close to x-mas, so show some mercy

Or a flock of Typhoons or P-47s shows up and strafes the HJ unit and the POW escapes into the icy wilderness.😄
