As it says on the header... I'm aiming to commence a longstanding plan to build as many of the armoured vehicles used by the Irish Army Cavalry Corps as I can (in 1/35)
The Rolls Royce AC is one of the (possibly only) running model left in the world, and is the one that accompanied General Michael Collins on his ill fated meeting with De Valera during the Irish Civil War. (I MIGHT add the Peerless AC to this list if Beardy Mc Redcoat is kind this year...)
I need a starting point so as always folks, your thoughts and suggestions are very much welcomed. P

I know nothing about the subject, I’d just like to see the Comet built up

Man, I would love to do this same project in 1/72 scale. Unfortunately, even if there are models in my scale of these vehicles; there aren't any marking sets for me to apply to them to make them Irish.
My choice would have been for the Scorpion if the poll had still been open. Doesn't matter as the Comet seems to have pulled ahead. Being an Irishman from the O'Brien Clan, I'm looking forward to seeing this project move forward.

Duke, it should still be open. I haven't closed it.

Thanks Paul! It was, I just didn't see the very light boxes on my screen.
Vote cast.

There are versions of some of the more esoteric armour e.g. LANDSVERK a/c available in braille scale. Black Lion decals might be able to do some bespoke stuff if you can provide some images.

Tough choice as they all have their merits but finally decided.

Where would those be found? Are they resin kits? If so, I'll pass; I have a ton of trouble doing resin kits.

Yeah , I do like Mr Morans stuff- hes not half bad- even for a Jackeen ( Irish slang for a Dubliner btw) There are some esoteric stuff that were perculilarly Irish e.g the ford-Thompson 3 axel a/c that were till in use uyp to the 1970s or the Timoney APCs I'd love someone to do in styrene. Dont have the moeny for anything in resin nor the inclination or skill set for whitestuff

I know how you feel about the resin and white stuff. I'm the same. Still, at least there are some vehicles available for you to do. I look forward to seeing what you choose to do.
