Cheers Boots It will be like the traps opening at White City Dog Track 😁 Thank you Pete, Nice to see your underway. There goes my head start 🙂 Thanks Paul, you've made a great job of your cockpit. The harness looks very good. I think your right about Pete. I feel like Puffing Billy on the branch line hearing The Flying Scotsman building up steam. like my old woodwork instructor said, I may be slow, but I'm rough with it. 😜 I've taped the main sections together to get an idea of the fit and how I'll paint the different assemblies. Being a Tamiya kit, I shouldn't need any filler if I take a little bit of care.

No way Paul. It's very much a case of All fur coat and no knickers! Just held together with tape. I've hardly touched the cockpit detail. 🙂

All fur coat and no knickers . Haven't heard that one for years . Are you to going paint the controls or use the decals?

Are you to going paint the controls or use the decals? I've got an Eduard zoom set. I must have got it when I got the model when it was first released. I'll use the instrument panel and some other bits, but not them all. I'll use paint to show other bits and pieces.

I had a zoom set for the Fw190.... the bugger didn't fit . That's why I resorted to paint, the harness is okay, but instrument panel is just too wide. It was good use as a guide for the paint though

Paul, the etched set I used for my Tiger Moth was too wide. I couldn't take anything off from the Eduard instrument panel as it would have taken a bit off the dial, so I put a rebate in the fuselage if that makes sense. Right pain!

I shall correct what I said Joe, it wasn't Zoom it was Löök. It's printed resin I think, still if I had chopped it down, it would have hit the dials too. I think you're rebate method would be just too much hassle to be honest .

I was lucky, it was quite straight forward as there was a frame where I wanted to put the rebate, so I used that as a guide to run my scraper down. It was only a small amount I was dealing with.

Paul---great looking interior and instrument panel.
Pete--nice start, sir. Looking forward to your build magic on a wingy-thingie.
