For years it was the only game in town and not a bad rendition too. Nice clean build Tim.

Slapped some paint around on the commander and came up with this. Not the best work in the world, but to the Mk.1 eyball not to bad. One thing I can't get used to is the size of hands at this scale. More like shovels!

His pose looks a bit of a disco diva. I wonder what he’s singing?
Hands, you need hands to hold someone you love, You need hands...
Nice paint job though.

Thanks for the comments chaps. As the title suggests, all primed up and ready to let the colour fly. Will be attempting the dark green (XF-61) and flat green (XF-5) combination. Hope to get the dark green on this afternoon, which will give it time to cure tomorrow as OC Home Front will not be a happy bunny if I mancave on C' Day. If I do maybe an update later. Tim

Very nice primer covering Don't push your luck with OC Home Front.... you might end up with with giblets and turkey bones instead of a nice traditional dinner

Paul, More like a rib from the beef and that would make the eyes water me thinks. Pete, Have to agree with you. Mind you under dark green it's even better. Time to get festive, more later. Tim

Started to look at getting the second colour on and realised I had got things wrong. Base should have been XF-5 Flat Green with Dark Green as camo. As the options provide for a Chieftain in Dark Green only, I decided to go with that. Gloss coat on, then decals and then another coat of gloss. Some detail painting started and so looks like this now. Worked on the vision blocks. Painted each block light grey as a base, then applied Aqua Colour Clear blue and once dry used Mig Ammo Crystal Smoke to darken them up, but letting the blue come through. Pleased with the result.
Next up some Dark Brown wash (labled as "For Green Vehicles") and after that some rainmark streaking possibly. More soon. Tim

To be honest I didn't even know there was a green on green camo for the Chieftain. Must be well before m day in the army, maybe Ceebee saw it though . Nice stickerage and the vision blocks look bloody good
