Thanks my hearties. The turret has had a spray and paint. The slate grey is light blue, sky grey and a drop of medium blue. There’s some shading on the hull but you can’t really tell in the photo. I used snipers trick and mixed flat flesh with the dark green. Made the colour a lot less harsh. Done some chipping on the inside. Do the outside once it’s all painted and put together. Should have the deser yellow on the tank tomorrow, then I’ll do some shading before adding the decals.

Had some free time today so got the desert yellow down. Decided to take off the OOB smoke dischargers and go with the PE ones. (Hence the red patch) The OOB were just too bland. Also having one expended. Here is the paintwork, very happy with the lines. They look very sharp.
Not too shabby!!! Decals then a nice coat of VMS HD to protect the paint job.

Any ideas what I can do with the headlights?

Nice start with Caunter scheme Tommy . Headlights like that I ususally paint black first, then a thin coat of silver getting thinner towards the outer rim. If the silver is too heavy, I'll then give it a dark wash and remove most from the center of the light.

Paul - I will give the headlights a go, as you said. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks Ian and Beano. Here’s the result so far after ammo mig DAK wash. Got to clean it up a bit, looking a bit too grimy at the moment. Some VMS sand has been put on the lower hull. Still more cleaning up to do. The decals on the front side fenders were a pain, but coaxed into place with some Mark Fit, then touched up with paint. Fixing the tracks next, and then the desert and sun damage.
