Ok chaps.....still got some small bits to do on the car but i`ve been tinkering with a base for it, i don`t do dio`s so i have virtually nothing in the stash such as scenery/scatter etc, etc so i`ve had to make do with some bits iv`e managed to accumulate just to give me a basic start........i`ll gradually introduce some more stuff to the collection but although not particularly expensive it is when ya got diddly squat to start with Anyhoo...... I`ve added some fresh plasticard to the side of the base and then covered it with very thin stainless sheeting i acquired from work.........it`s just slightly thicker than etch but bends perfectly in an etch tool, ideal for larger stuff and ferkin` excellent for side armour/schurzens etc. I attached them to the clean plasticard and then to the base sides also with double sided tape.....saves using ya glue supply up on large areas and no squirty out stuff where ya don`t want it  Then some WIP pics of progress so far...........i wanna work the base in with the theme of the car, the rusted s/s sides depict the rusted metal work on the car itself..........the lower black part will also be colour changed...........if i`m gonna do an attempt at a base i might as well at least try  ...........PASS or FAIL either way

Thanks chaps but wherever there`s a silver lining along comes a dirty great ferkin` rain cloud  .......i used lo-tac masking tape to isolate the rust part so`s i could spray the lower base.........when i took the tape of it decided to bring the rust with it!!..........FECKIN` ANNOYING I HAVE TO SAY!! It`s more of an inconvenience fix than an issue........it now means i gotta blend in new areas next to areas i was already happy with.......grumble, grumble, grumble |
