Very nice Boots. I like the idea of a couple of odd panels.

Progressing nicely there Boots....Such a shame to deliberately spoil a good base paint job but it’s for a good cause

Yeah, a door or bonnet from a different colour car would really set it off.

Thanks fellas Ok....your wish is my command
A pastel Blue door and wing and the side stripe done in White, there is a chrome trim which runs the length of the vehicle above and below the White section.........i`ll attempt this using BMF, i`ll randomly miss a couple of trim lengths here and there
At the mo she has had a gloss coat ready for the weathering stages and drying off on the bench

Thats it for now...cheers chaps

OK this looks awesome and amazing at the same time!!! The soft colours were a great choice. The worn paint looks top.

Thanks Guybro Yeah i stuck with the 50`s/60`s paint theme with the soft light colours as i find it a lot easier to work starting light rather than dark, the pastel blue colour was a popular colour in that era as well and so was the feature white stripe, with the rust layers arriving the light coats will stain with the weathering process and darken hence why i started light

Pete and Tommy........thanks guys Ok......next step looks a bit horrendous but plans are afoot with some salt and chipping fluid......this is just another step of my insane process She`s had a gloss coat and a sand down with 2000 grit between every layer/stage so far just to protect each coat.......once this is dry i`ll apply a Neutral wash to darken the visible paintwork so that when i chip it the newer layer i spray on top will reveal the rust and hopefully the slightly darker paint as well......i hope
It`s all just vallejo dark and light rust plus some rust pigs here and there...

Cheers amigo`s

...........i`ts actually a lot darker than what the pics are showing, the camera is washing the body colour out and making it very pale......it`s actually slightly darker cream colour, that's why the white stripe doesn`t stand out to well!!

Still looking good. How about having it stand on 4 piles of bricks to symbolize urban decay?
