Thanks chaps, more work on the model today with a very thin general grime filter followed by two rounds of pin washing. I'm using some stuff I bought a while back to try from a company called modellers world. They do a range of oil washes, pigments etc so I thought I'd try them out. The washes come in glass dropper bottles and once shaken the resulting wash is very fine and smooth. I've used a tone called black brown wash and it thins well with my normal thinner and once dry does not have a grainy appearance which a lot of commercial washes have. It also smells vaguely of baby powder but it's not an unpleasant smell.













So tomorrow a bit more work in the form of oil dot fading and some streaking effects.

That looks darned good Pete, the decals have gone down well too

The wash has brought out the details nicely.
