During the North Africa campaign and despite the lack of petrol, a brew was given priority for its morale boosting effect. This will be my tribute to a good British cuppa. The ingredients are: A Honey 6 figures, Monty among them who has come forward to the line. VMS sand and some very boring looking Tamiya stone walls Some smashed up German oil drums And a couple of spoon fulls of imagination to bring it all together.

Any one else noticed how some smoke dischargers for a 1/48 Tiger 1 makes some very nice looking food cans at 1/35 scale? I’ll be scratch building other little treats to go with the tea, too.

Reality in scale oil drums definitely exceeded my expectations. The detail is fantastic.

They are awesome, I have used them myself and they certainly beat the heck outta Tamiya and Bronco bits

From probably the world’s most boring bricks to something I can use, plus some rubble to add to the diorama, too.
I think I did a good job and it’s definitely a lot more realistic.

My adaptation of the tank crews sand and petrol stove. An old tin filled with sand and topped up with petrol. I couldn’t find a suitable kettle so my guys are adapting with an old ammo tin. It should do the job.
I will start putting the sand down this weekend. Never used VMS muds before so will be an experience. Looks really good on their youtube websites, but sand is a different matter.
