Popped down to the main Tamiya shop in Tokyo. Only 15 minutes door to door on my scooter to check out the new T34 85 in 1/48 scale. But I went for the 8 wheeled armoured car. Got a nice little diorama in mind with some mechanics left over from a field maintenance set. I was thinking of this for the supporting our troops GB, but got another idea for that now. So without further ado.

Nice choice and how lucky are you to "pop down to the tamiya shop". If only!

Yes, it’s very close on my scooter, but takes a bit longer on the train or bus. Got a flier for a figure contest later this year. Anyways, amazing fit on this model. Just goes together like a dream. I like armoured cars the best. I made this dingo as my third model and it’s still got pride of place. Interesting to compare how more adapt I’ve become. Or at least I hope so.

Looking good Tommy. I like the Dingo, I made the Tamiya Humber armour car in 1/48th. Lovely little kit.

Basically OOB so far. The only thing I’ve done is bore out the inside of the horns.

Thanks Marco. Nice finish. A very pleasant time was had. Got a bit of stowage which looks good to add, then it’s the painting- panzer grey.
