Boats and ships are surprisingly intricate to paint by the looks of it Robbo but you’ll take it in your stride I’m sure

Coming along very nicely Robbo. It depends on the fit of the deck fittings and add ons, but you could try painting them dark grey before attaching them to the deck with a PVA glue so as not to ruin any paint work.

Thank you all. The gap has now gone thanks to a heavy duty elastic band and a lot of glue. Just a bit of filler on the very edge of the front end to do
