The colour must be the same shade as the WW2 bolt I have, which was given to me by my friend who is the best friend of his friend’s Uncle whose mother once knew someone who wrote to a genuine tank driver from WW2. As we know, ALL vehicles were painted the EXACT same colour ALL of the time Nice PE too!

That made me laugh too Steve . Cheers Joe mucker . Okay chaps, I am the laziest person on the planet when it comes to cleaning up road wheels , it's also a chore I hate doing specially if they need sanding by hand . Luckily this time the wheels allowed a 5mm bolt to pass through, so with 'em tightened up, into the chuck they went. 14 pairs of wheels cleaned up in 10 minutes . Will be adding some bits and bobs shortly, and maybe this week I'll get the primer on

Nice mate, I've been using my drill for stuff like wheels a lot more lately as well. Saves so much time.

Ok, the wheel thing is ingenious. Well done! I love how the tank looks, especially with the reverse slope on the turret.

Pete, Ian, cheers chaps . Yes the drill is bloody good asset when cleaning road wheels , unfortunately not all kit makers give you ability to do it

Just knocked up some new spare track holders . I must say it is a real joy to have a tool that cuts the same lengths of plastic with every chop . The kit bits are as always a load of rubbish, mainly because they are not the right size for Tiger II track . I also added the holes for retaining pins which will come from spare Dragon PE parts .

Paul, great mods with the spare track holders. Is this basically a regular Panther chassis? Also, what brand name is the cutting tool?

Cheers Ian . The hull is a normal Panther G late version, only this one has the A drivers compartment cover. Also it carries the Toger II style running gear, check the Panther II in the Fort Knox museum en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panther_II_tankThe cutting tool is from RP Toolz . This is a piece of kit I have been eyeing for a couple of years now. But being a tad pricey (€89 - €100) I was always put off, but this month I said sod it, get one or you'll be cursing even more if you don't

You're clearly having a blast with this kit Paul, I like the extra effort you're putting in it.

Some great progress and impressed with the ingenuity for sanding wheels. I heard of doing barrels this way but never even considered doing wheels...and I regularly turn things at work! Good call replacing the track holder too

Guy, Si, cheers chaps. Now and again I turn stuff at work, I find it quite relaxing. I also get some ideas whilst relaxing too

What a great way to clean up the wheels. The extra detail at the rear looks good.

Great stuff mate, you've also convinced me to invest in one of those cutters cos I can never cut a straight section of plastic!

That’s all ace stuff. Wish I had the equipment too. Something to think about for my birthday maybe?

Thanks for the info, Paul. Like Pete said, might have to invest in one of these.
