Joe, Pete, Tommy, Ian, cheers chaps  . I can seriously recommend this cutter, it is expensive but well worth the cash. I used to get so annoyed when the straight edge or knife slipped and you ended up with too short, or offset piece of plastic, with this those days are gone

Yes i must admit i have seen those cutters and maybe worth a punt some day.........i do rubber tyres the same way Paul except i sandwich between two washers slightly smaller in diameter than the tyre.......rubber tyres can be a pain in the arse to wear down by sandpaper  Nice wheelage work matey
