Thought this would interest you lot! Started this afternoon and so far it's building up rather well. The plastic is nice to work with and there is not too much etch to tackle. It does have some large attachment points on the sprues, even for small parts so a sharp pair of nippers is a must here. There is also some flash but nothing excessive. The etch checker plate is very good indeed and should look great under a coat of paint.

One area that I was not happy about was the rear light housings which are made up of etched parts. Although these bend to shape with no problems the mating surfaces are so tiny it's difficult to get them in the correct position. So plastic card and strip was used to make up new ones which work much better. I'll leave the rear light clusters off until after painting as it's a simple matter of just sliding them in place, far easier later on for painting purposes.

Thanks guys, another pleasant day at the bench, yes you guessed it I'm on leave again! The model has built up at lightspeed, one moment it was just a shell and now its almost done! The checker plate looks the dogs and fit was perfect. I used 5 minute epoxy to secure which gave me plenty of time to align it properly. One touch I really liked was that all the grills sat in small grooves on the plastic parts so location was a doodle. The kit does however suffer from some Bronco type insanely tiny parts with massive attachment points. Here I replaced what I could and swore loads whilst cleaning up those I couldn't.

The kit comes with a driver figure which I was going to use but this soon changed when I found it must have been based on a dwarf! it's way underscale so I'll delve into the spares pile later for a suitable figure, although not a driver. One area that got me laughing was the fuel jerry cans supplied in the kit. They are actually WW2 german cans with Wehrmacht lettering embossed in them. Close but not close enough! I have found that usually supacats would have carried the brit army black plastic water cans anyway so I'll put the german cans in the spares.
