Well after sitting at the bench, not sure what to do next, Bill 1/4 Job , gave me a friendly reminder of something I have in my stash . I am sure you have all heard of or seen these Wehrmacht nasties on the net, well last year I started collecting the parts for a 1/16 scale Panther. Before you go wild, no I didn't get the whole vehicle just the turret . So without further ado I shall get this monster going . Here's what I mean, but I still have know idea if it will be in an Italian field, or a German city . The parts:

That turret looks the biz!
A partwork is a weekly magazine with parts for the build supplied each issue which eventually builds a complete tank/ship/car etc.

Did you find those on EBay Paul? Going to be a great build. Those weekly part magazines have some fun subjects but it works out to about £800 for the model and you have a pile of paper magazines to get rid off

Jeff, many thanks Sir and take a seat Bill cheers fella , with livin' abroad since I have to ask now and then what all these newfangled phrases mean . Steve, whatcha matey . No I got these last year as the offer was running. I wanted the turret, and luckily this came first . I think the whole collection/vehicle would have been €1200 , for these parts I paid €60 as the stuff was cheaper to start with and the last package was the full price. Will be back shortly with an update

Boots nice to see you here mucker . Well then fellas the build is almost done , there's a few things I need to correct: 1. Coax MG, inside and out 2. Fill the Land R markings for the turret walls 3. Add some more turret detail - Cartridge catch, Gunner controls, 4. I would like some shell hits on the outer armour, but that might prove difficult to do on cast aluminium . 5. Scratch the Flak MG skid rail on the cupola 6. Add the missing weld beads. After that I need to re-prime and paint the inside with off-white and weather it too, and then I'll move onto painting the outside . Size comparison, the 1/16 turret with a 1/35 Panther tank . Oh yes before I forget, I have run out of screws too, so I can't join the turret together . That's what happens when you don't collect the whole item . Thank the lord for hardware suppliers

Looks nice and definitely not expected.
Not all Pantherturms had the standard commander's cupolas. Alot had their cupolas removed and replaced with a simple round hatch. I don't think you'd go wrong either way.
It'll be interesting to see how run with this one.
