If you get them, then always use a nearly dry brush for the blending. With my first attempts I had too much thinner (odourless turps) and I washed the colour off . And to start with I AB'd Vallejo 70.860 Medium Flesh tone over the primer, then it was fun time with the oils

No prob Boots . Appreciated kindly Joe, and yes I am quite prod of them . Started work on the base. A cheap picture frame with Styrofoam, then I added the Plus Model cobble stones. After that came verges using Vallejo Ground Texture and I also added sand between the cobbles with VMS Sand and Ballast freeze. This has got to dry off now, ,maybe I'll get some colour on there tomorrow

Tommy, cheers ole chap . Guy, appreciated my dear neighbour Ian, thankee kindly fella Marco, cheers too mucker Pete, much obliged fella These stones lay down quite easily, I started off using the coffee stirrer to add the glue, but that was a tad uncontrollable. I then just put the glue into a syringe and that went much faster and easier . I got the idea from the first time I was in Soltau in 1984. On exercise we went through the town using mainly the side streets, and I was amazed that these were and still are cobble stones roads. My first thought was wow, here we are travelling along these roads in Chieftains, where 40 years ago Tigers, Panthers, Panzer III's and IV's moved along them .

Easy way for laying cobblestones -
Double sided sticky tape.
That was my way of doing it!!!!

Never thought of that Tommy. How does it react to all the paints and washes? Today I primed the base and got the initial colours down also
