Nice work,as per your Norm Pete.Just one question if I may?....The gas cylinder,is it supposed to be Acetylene? If so,in theory it should never be laid down.

Although,thinking back,I think we stored these in the top bins on Chiefy ARVs,laying down!!!! Check this out.... www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg327.pdfOne section stated that the bottle should be upright,but if it had been laid down,it couldn't be used for a minimum of one hour!!! Yeh,right! That'd happen in a combat scenario,eh?

The info in the link is correct. The reason being that the liquid acetone inside the tank will migrate to the valve opening when it's laid down. The tanks should never be laid down and yes, you need to wait at least an hour after turning them upright.  Oh yeah, this build travels well, 'Smudge.

Ours were always stored upright on the Rescue vehicle i rode...............i`d go with the `empty` cylinder theory
