A Sea King looks grand in any colour, but particularly good in Yellow.

Spent the PM cuttin’n’stickin’ the Sea King. life starts with the interior, I know you can add belts and details but I’m going to button and fold so no need for any of that nonsense. It’ll all get a coat of dark grey and then be sealed away. Cockpit will have some extra brushwork as you can see some of this. Anyway, enough blabbing, here’s a pic I see a stray dog hair so I’ll get that little begger before he sticks somewhere annoying

Great progress, Steve! I didn't realize this kit furnished that much of the rear interior.

Despite the best weather in ages I spent a few hours at the bench and here we are The clear parts are nice a fit well and where possible moulded as part of the door or panel which is a good idea. The cockpit roof is tinted so working on that now. The kit is supplied with the open air intake ‘seagull diverter’ but I want to build a later aircraft so I’m using the filter which is also included in the kit. The grills would be supplied as decals in the Junglie version and are missing from this issue. No worries, as I’m using the folded rotor I can also wrap up the intake in a FOD blanket. Tissue and PVA ready for a bit of tidying and paint.
more when I can peeps.

Cheers fellas Some seam work to do as I’ve followed the fit of the clear parts not the plastic to avoid filler around the glazed areas. Hopefully that won’t be a mistake!

Thought I’d spend a spare 5 mins and fit the last piece of the canopy. Now this bit has fitted perfectly on every dry fit, I was actually very impressed just how well all the clear parts went together. I put it in place a touched some TET cement to the roof line and the top glass moved. I gently pushed it back with the tip of a cotton bud and heard a ‘click’. That’s odd I thought and looked to see what it was... Not happy with that crack and I’ve no clue why it happened now. If anything I used far less pressure than when I dry fitted it? I know Airfix would most likely replace it for me but I don’t want to wait so I’ll just refit it and use more PVA and tissue for storage wraps Onwards and sideways fellas
