Trying out my new bottle of Microscale's Micro Mask. Works pretty well so far. Nice that it's blue so's you can see it.

That looks good Jeff . How does it go on? I have tried the VMS masking fluid and found that dries/sets way too fast. You get a skin forming very quickly and you can't get it on cleanly because of this .

Keep in mind Paul that this is 1/144, so it's pretty small. Only took me 7-8 minutes to do two coats. I had no problem with it drying to fast. Plenty of time to get each area covered no sweat.

Hats off on getting that masked. Delicate work in 1/144th scale!
Best wishes,
Ian

Yes indeed, nice work on the masking, a steady hand and eagle sharp eyes eh?

Jeff as you probably know I'm not a jet fighter builder. I can't give helpful advice on this subject but I like it, particularly the blue cockpit screen.

Well after looking at this thing on my bench for almost 2 week, it's going back in the box. For some reason I just can't get the fever for it. It will return in the future. So it's back on the M1070.
