Thanks everyone. If you thought that was grubby, have a look now. Oil paints, then more VMS pigments and finally, my current ACE bit of kit, thinned down abteilung 502 engine grease oil paint.

I figure, T-34 didn’t go to the wash down all that often.

Your Japanese draft beer isn’t the same as Guinness or Bodds, those two use the widget to control nitrogen gas to form a creamy head on the beers when the can is opened. Draft in your neck of the woods means unpasteurised to give a keg favour Oh.. good work on the kit too !

Thanks Steve and Paul. Here is the lower hull with wheels. Skanking up the tracks with oils and VMS track brown. And here is a “patina” to enrich and add nuance to the base. Or at least that’s what it says in the book. Not so sure myself. See when it’s dry tomorrow.

Looking good from here Tommy . You have to take your time with those oils, something I find very difficult to do myself . If you add them in too fast after one another they will cut themselves out and you have only a dark mess . Tomorrow you should have a some good colour changes on there

Thanks everyone. I used Payne’s grey as a filter on the rear and the oils to paint the logs. Did some dry brushing with metallic grey on the gas tanks as you can see.

I think you’re getting the hang of those oils from what I can see buddy. Build is coming together nicely now

Thanks Ian and Steve. Yes the oils are working a treat. Used lots of colours on the wooden crates. The latest was light sand and burnt umber. Used engine grease oil paint on the hinges. The depth of colour is really showing through now.
