Crud & Custard Herc. Paint trials.

I've assembled the main wing. The joint between the mid upper section and the lower half sections is very strong. I think there is a weak point where the top halves join the mid upper section. There's only a small rebate where the two parts connect, which doesn't seem big enough to take the weight of the outer wing section after gluing. I've already had to reglue one side after knocking it. I used a little filler to blend in the butt joint.I heard somewhere that this joint is the actual joint line where the outer wing is attached to the airframe, and that there is a covering over it. This appears to be very thin.
If so, I could put a very thin piece of stock card over along the seam to strengthen it up a little. I've looked at a lot of photos on line, I can only make it out on a couple of pictures, of which I've posted the one with the best image of what I think could be the wing joint covering.

So was I Paul. It flexes a bit, so wouldn't take much to break the glue seam. Still, now I know, I'll take a bit more care. 

The wing in the pic looks quite smooth but I know the area you mean.

I know you’ve got it glued up now but maybe reinforce from the inside if it goes again?

Steve, cheers mate. Yes, the wing area looks very smooth. If I did put anything on it, it would look way over scale. I used liquid cement on that joint. On reflection, I should have used the stronger Revell glue like I did on the rest of the wing. I've thought of a way to reinforce it should I have to. But I think it will be ok now if I take more care handling it.

I wanted to make sure the colours I'm using looks ok before I go any further. I've used the horizontal stabilizers as a test piece as it will be less work to put right. I drew round each one on a piece of paper, then after placing a bit of self adhesive masking sheet on it, marked out the camouflage pattern. I cut out and positioned it in place. I also marked a line on the masking sheet which helped me position it correctly. The last photo shows what the two main top colours look like after spraying and a black wash. I was a bit undecided about the colour match after painting them, but now I'm not so sure. 

I`m with Marco i`m afraid Joe, masking looks great.....as for colours......not a clue fella
