Love the Brimstone, they look great! The engine nozzles look good too. I’ve seen these so oily and grimy they looked glossy black That would mean dirtying up the whole aft fuse though

Good evening Gents. Finally got the engines in situ and the thrust reversers in retracted position. Top side Underside
Rear end
Wings done and coloured along with a few other parts.
Due to a cock up in colour choice, the underside weapons rails and under wing pylons have also been stripped and resprayed and a new set of decals purchased. More when finished. Will also need to strip the "Hindenburg tanks" and decal again. In support of Mr Badman's advice to PorcoRosso, I can fully endorse the use of Isopropyl Alcohol as a stripping agent for acrylic paint. "Big fin" undercoated and coloured in To sum up then, several steps backwards and one or two forwards. Never mind, it is still inching forwards. Also purchased some Tammy polishing compound as the canopy is in need of some "tlc"
Will update when more to report, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Tim

Nice use of metallic shades on the burner array and it looks very realistic. Sorry you had an issue with the paint scheme but it looks like you are getting back on track.

STill looking ghood Tim even if a couple of things went the wrong way. That polishing gear from Tamiya is most excellent, I used it on the Corsair canopy and looked awesome afterwards

This brave new world..................... technology is a right "P.I.T.A"
My posts have been scarce recently and then, when you do one, all sorts of problems A couple of comparison pic's of the wings, upper and lower. Half an hour to get 2 pic's up, makes you want to scream. More soon if I can sort the tech shite out. Tim

The bloody image uploader has been a pain over the last few days. I have sent an e-mail out to them, but I don't expect an answer. They have never answered before so why now. Looking very cool indeed Tim

Wings look great, Tim. I always liked the Tornado flaps as the arrangement is much like the F-111 and really makes the wings look busy.

Things still going on in the background and, as the time has come to bring the fuselage halves together, a quick dry fit with the wings on. It is going to require some work on the joint lines, but all in all, I am happy that it comes together reasonably well. More soon I hope. Tim
