wow, thanks for those great comments gents, that's really appreciated The tracks are finally fitted. I added one link on one side (can't remember which one ) and two on the opposite side. I guess in hindsight just one on the other side would have been ok too. Anyway, really starts to look like a tank now. next up: some more weathering consisting of dust, rust and splatter

Guys, many thanks for these comments, made me smile. However, yup, we're not there yet. First I painted a layer of Ammo Splashes Dry Earth on the lower rear parts of the hull, and then in fast, gentle motions dragged them upwards. This creates a subtle dusty layer. Which is a good base for some further mud application. When this had dried it was time to add some mud splatter. I didn't want to go overboard with the effects, but some dried mud splatter need to be there. I started with Ammo Splashes Loose Ground, followed with Dry Earth. These two were a bit thicker and give it some base texture. On top of that - while still wet - I added Ammo Nature Effects Earth splatter, and some thinned Burnt Umber oil paint. The splatter was applied with a flat brush and a toothpick. The rear got treated as well. You think it's finished now? Not quite

That is really beautiful.. I would have called it finished ages ago... learning a lot from this! and this topic is turning into a nice language lesson for Paul..
