Zero paints look great but smell too much for me to use in the kitchen! A black duke would be interesting, the Monster Dark looked amazing

Cheers guys 👍
Steve, it’s still gonna be blue……just not all of it. This is going to a bit of a painting ‘guinea pig’ 😜

Ok, first ‘guinea pig’ is the frame… Using C1 metalizer powder I’ve managed a ‘dark’ chromish finish. Very hard to get a decent pic because of reflected lights. So taken in shade in garden. Not sure if I like it this dark yet …… will let it grow on me for a day 🤔

Sure does Paul, although looking closely I think sanding or smoothing the paint finish first may get better results…. I may try just smoothing this finish and reapplying first 🤔

Ok, sanding and reapplying does not work at all 😳
So in the ipa to strip paint off and start again. Apparently it needs a virgin painted surface to adhere to. All sanding/finishing needs to be done before applying last layer of paint. So it’s down to me to get as smooth a painted finish (without sanding afterwards) as possible. This is gonna be one challenge 😜

Might be a challenge, but it's one you'll certainly win

Often wondered about the metaliser stuff John......the `how to use` demo makes it look sooooo easy

Impressive finish! Technical paint but it contains too aggressive chemicals or me to use in the kitchen :`

Ok fellas, this is where I’m at at the mo….. this I will add is not the finished article!!!!! Not really happy with frame….. think I may have to come up with an alternative. 🤔 Now the tank is coming along fine…. This is not finished either… I have decals and metalizer powder to apply. I hope to perfect the desired finish this time round. A perfect finish needs all elements to be done in correct order 😏

Cheers Boots 👍 The metalizer will smooth out the silver part of the tank to a chrome / polished ali look nicely. But ‘must’ be done last. Will do a breakdown of process when tank done 😀
