Joe, Boots, Ian, Tommy, Pete, thank you kindly fellows . I painted and glued the air-intake for that powerful Allison engine, there is rather nasty join down the length of this. So I added some Mr.Surfacer 1500 liquid putty to smooth it out, when dry I'll sand it down and repaint the inside . I also got to work on the office, this is now painted up and PE parts have been added. This will get glossing tomorrow and a dark wash added to grime everything together . The instrument panel and seat are dry fitted to see how it all looks . More tomorrow Sires

Rum and Scotch! BRUTAL! Well, worked on the avionics bays some more. Got everything painted and then used a deep wash of Pledge Floor Care and Acryl Black for the recesses. I also scuffed the edges using Vallejo Dark Rubber applied with a sponge and then I did some silver scuffs with a silver pencil.

There’s a Lot of really nice stuff going on there fellas! This kit is on my ‘to do list’ now Paul, why do you not like AK paint and I think you have a FoD cover in the Italeri kit you could copy.

Appreciated muchly Steve . I always have problems with thinning and spraying the AK stuff, it took about hour to get the mix right for those bays. But I didn't have any choice, I only had the AK chromate yellow on hand . The Eduard etch set has a tricky little FoD and clear film which I shall try and fit . If it goes wrong then I shall follow your advice

Doh, I have just realized that you was talking about the intake cover, and not the Heads up Display .

What a great subject for a "Buddy Build". While stationed on Crete I recall the many times they would park near our ramp...Man where they a mess! But what great weathering potential!! (y) (y)

Glad you could join us Eric . You're right with the weathering, aspect this has to be the only chance to weather an aircraft like a tank . Nice pics by the way
