Guys, many thanks for the great help here. I tried to use a small ball of blu-tack to remove the remains, but the wheel wells proved to be too narrow to decently handle this. So with toothpick, a lot of swearing and a minor bit of patience I was able to remove a lot. Than I had an idea: with an old short haired brush moistened with odourless thinner I scrubbed the interior. Most of it came loose. I wasn't able to remove 100% but it definitely looks a lot better. But now I'm having another problem, it seems the project is haunted . I was tryint to lay down a gloss coat (Mr. Color Super clear UV cut gloss) thinned with Mr. Levelling Thinner) and I immediately felt something was wrong. It didn't seem to come down nicely on the model and some white powder started to form on the tail section. I never had this problem with Tamiya X-22 clear. So I'll need to gently sand down the messed up gloss and buy me some more X-22 or try the VMS gloss coat (I have the satin already). Goddammit. This means that both my G-6 as my Panther build are officially stalled now. Hopefully not for too long...

Wouts, was it those frosted white spots you got? Usually a quick shot of enamel based flat coat via airbrush will make those disappear. Then just re-coat with what ever gloss you need.

Thanks gents, And indeed, frosted white spots, luckily only on the wingroot area. I don't think I have an enamel based flat coat...or mmm...maybe I still have Testors flat clear . Thanks for the tip. I also noticed that my gloss coat on one wing seems te be on the thick side, so I'll be sanding gently with 3000 or so. Hopefully that solves the problem. And meandwhile a batch of VMS gloss and matt varnish are on their way. I really want to keep the momentum. Though that will slow down a bit again. Yesterday (night) was my first day at work after a 3 weeks break yuk . Come on decals!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Ian ^^ Not really a big update. The propeller hub received it's basecoat of green (there is apparantly debate wether the prop hub was black or green) and I then applied the spinner decal. I found that quite daunting to say the least. It was quite nervewrecking (the decal ripped in two pieces ) but in the end it turned out ok. In the past I used Micro Sol to settle details nicely around shapes, but I found it not always working properly. So I bought Mr. Mark Softer a while ago (not the NEO variant which they often sell in Europe, I think that's a less strong version of the original) and I ended up applying three coats of it. The spinner settled nicely in the creases. Quite happy. There were some areas where there remained some wrinkled surface and in the end I had to cut these gently open. (you can see small cracks on the decal). I'll be touching them up with some white paint and hopefully that will work out fine.

It’s a right pain when paint misbehaves but I’m sure you’ll fix it buddy.
Those spinner decals are always a fun time, plenty of Sol does the trick !

Top draw, Wouts. Yes, the spiral thingies are a decal challenge, always. You did a great job with this and love the green spinner.

Yeah, bit of white paint should do the trick.

Thanks a lot guys, the spinner sure gives one - as Paul stated so nicely - a squeaky bum, but some little with paint adjusted it (though it's the cracks and folds are not 100% invisible) Anywhoo, let's carry on. First I have a photo in detail of the cockpit before I closed her down Then it was time to paint the wingtips on the underside. They were yellow, but first I gave them a coat of white, to make it easier to spray on the yellow. And then followed by Mr. Color RLM4 The same was done on the tail section Next step is adding a black band on the tail next to the yellow, and then we're ready up for some camouflage colors

She certainly looks good Wouts . The smokey mottling effect of that pre-shading looks awesome, I hope we will still see this later
