I've carried on gluing bits and pieces together before I have to give them a coat of primer. There are a few identical sprues in the kit, which allows you to put together two sets of wings tip sections.

I taped them in place for comparison along with the intakes and tail assembly. The horizontal stabilizer pivots on two poly caps. I stuffed a cut down cocktail stick in them to hold it in place.

Small update on the F-4B, as I have started work on the burner cans. Once again, great engineering by Tamiya as the seam for the top and bottom halves falls on a natural segment of the burner can. Tamiya called out Interior Green for the burner can interior, which I thought was odd, but apparently J-79s were green on the inside and this eventually changed to a rust color and then grey/black soot. I decided to depict them in the rust orange phase and sprayed them with Vallejo Light Rust and followed that up with a Raw Umber-Mineral Spirits wash.

Thanks so much, gents! I did some more work on the burner can assembly and got the flame holder assembly built and painted. There's no top/bottom difference for the burner tubes. However, there is for the flame holders as there's a small tab in the flame holder that needs to be at the bottom of the ring. I installed those at the back of the tubes and then marked the burner can so I would know which side is up. Once again, superb engineering by Tamiya.
