So, I was scrounging around for some M51 parts for the Academy refurb in the other thread. While doing so, I was checking out my Dragon M51 in the stash and noticed, in typical Dragon fashion, it had a complete set of parts for an M50 Super Sherman, except for the upper hull. The IDF based their M50s off of long hulled DV M4A4s and short hulled M4A3s and I happened to have a Tamiya M4A3 in the stash which Mrs. Fisher had sent me from Carl's collection. So being a lazy afternoon, I started the M50 based on an M4A3 with the HVSS suspension. Surprisingly, the Tamiya and Dragon parts go well together, although I have no instructions for the M50 part. Have found plenty of photos and build articles to help me, though.

I have bought a few kits from that site, good service! And I have that kit, and yes, the scans of them are like the real thing. But maybe that's not what you meant...
I do check the instructions on that site frequent, to see if a specific kit is nice or not, that site and scalemate, combined give a lot of information.

Thanks, guys! Steve, thanks for the link. The Cyberhobby M-50 kit depicts one of the conversions based on an M4A4 long hull, whereas I went with an M50 converted from an M4A3 short hull. This will help with the turret and hull stowage, though, because all that is the same.

I did some more work on the M-50 kitbash. The joints underneath the sponsons were a little ragged where the Tamiya and Dragon hull parts came together so I plated over all that with sheet stock planks. Much easier to go around an obstacle then through it. The upper hull and lower hull were joined and I used the Dragon rivet strip on the front to join the Tamiya transmission cover to the hull. I also added the sponson overhangs to both sides as well. Not a whole lot of problems, thus far, getting Tamiya and Dragon to play nicely together.

I jumped back on the M50 kitbash project and got the HVSS bogeys finished. Dragon took one out of the Miniart playbook and each bogey is eight pieces, not including the four wheels. I also added all the accessories to the Tamiya hull, using the M-50 parts that were included in the Dragon M-51 kit. I have to do the left side next.

Thanks, Paul, and I will definitely check these videos out. I also did not realize this 75mm gun, which was also in the AMX-13 was actually a French built redesign of the long barrel 75mm from the Panther.
