Decided to return to a bit of Braille armour. This is a “basic” kit, no etch, no individual track links. The moulding is a little ropey in places and it’s a bit of guesswork as to where to cut. Stage 1, the barrel and turret. Stage 2, more turret. Stage 3, yet more turret, finally finished, 57 parts to complete this. Stage 4, start on the deck/hull. Stage 5, deck. Stage 6, side skirts. To this stage, it’s taken me around 14 hours of bench time, over 3 sessions, with a big push today. Next up, the lower hull.

That’s a lot of detail , can’t see much wrong with the moulding , where’s the issue buddy? There’s a lot of great camo designs for these too

There was quite a bit of flash. The light guards were a dog’s breakfast, to the point I contemplated ditching them and seeing if I’d got something suitable in the spares box or stash! As for the camo, I haven’t fully decided yet, but I’m thinking the three colour (yellow/green/black), similar to the one I did on the T-72B2 a while back.

Continuing the build.... Step 7, make up the sprockets, idlers, Road wheels and return rollers. Step 8, fix previous items to lower hull. As the lower hull section is cast metal, the use of CA is needed, so plenty of dry fitting and aligning was done prior to apply said CA! Step 9, fit the rear hull wall, fuel barrels, tow hooks and log. Step 10, tracks. Step 11, test fit hull, deck & turret. Construction complete! Next up will be primer, then the fun starts! I’m thinking 3 colour camo, using AMMO for Mig, Modern Russian Colours: oil ochre, green khaki and black... but I need to finish my research before final commitment!

Paint time! Primed. First colour, AMMO for Mig-Green Khaki. Second colour, Matt Black. Final colour, Yellow Grey. Next will be picking out details.

Looks great fella.............how do you find them AMMO colours to use, do you have to thin or straight from the bottle Ade They are a little inconsistent for me. If you spray at 25psi they are fine as they are, although they do dry on the needle quite quickly. I tend to thin them with a couple of drops of water/drying retarder mix, then lower the pressure to around 15psi, then they spray fine, although using a 0.15 needle in the airbrush, you still get them drying out on the needle.

You gotta be kiddin' us Ade 😮 , two freakin' days and almost done 😁 Not quite two days! I’ve spent about 22 hours on this so far, over 5 separate days spread over two weeks, although I have had a bit of a push on the last few days! I just forgot to post the early progress, so did it all in one go!
