Well, this was a BDay pressie from a friend of the work. As any Tamy kit, the build was really fast and precise. I just add some little details to the antenna mount and two fine wires to the smoke dischargers (are those funny things, on the right side of the turret, smoke dischargers? ) Next primer and the more than controversial caunter scheme (silver grey - that's a greyish green or blue - like the IWA preserved Matilda?) I prefer the blue Will be my first caunter scheme paint work. I'll try to do a nice job. Hope you like: ACC&?W

I did the 1/48 as my first step back into modeling. I did it after seeing a Andy’s hobby vid on YouTube. His weathering of this just blew me away.
As I am sure, yours will.

Looks like a cool kit, if it's as good as their Char B1 bis it's awesome no doubt. That texture on the turret is just amazing. Looking forward to see it painted.

Thank you guys! Wouter, I bought a B1 bis and now I waiting the mail guy drop it at the front door. I like to read Asterix and have a tank named after the gallic chief Vercigentorix is really tempting! Paul, I liked to paint the Berlin scheme, but was the "box like" FV432. Will see how I can mask the Matilda to get a good hard edge paint.

Marco, gorgeous looking Matilda! I had my eye on the Tamiya Russian Lend Lease version and now you are being an exceptionally bad influence.

And you won't be dissapointed. The B1 bis is the best kit I ever built I think. It could use some minor tweaks but it's a gem, and practically falls together. It's working tracks are a cool feat as well.

No problem mate! I'll use Tamiya and blue tapes and a bit of masking putty in some difficult places. Did you use blue or the "real" silver grey?
Cheers Boots!

Thank you, I think I could weather it a bit better now.
There was a lot of debate about that blue colour with some saying it was never blue but I think the tank museum at Bovington have got one and it has got blue in it if I remember correct, now they wouldn't be wrong would they
