That is exactly the look i`m after for the Fury build..........been doggin` me for weeks trying to think of how to get the look i want and you just laid it on a plate for me .....suitably perfect for this beast Ian As a matter of interest at what ratio do you make your Black/Umber and White......just being nosey......and i need the recipe if Fury is ever gonna creep over the line

Marco, Paul, Joe, Pete, Boots----thanks gents! This was the appearance I was trying to emulate: FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY:
I think for the final weathering phase I am going to use dirt/dust pigments with some fresh, wet mud over top of it like this: Boots, for that initial dust/blending filter, I take a larger size drink bottle cap and fill it with Mineral Spirits. I then take a drop of Burnt Umber, Ivory Black and Titanium Oils (one drop of each), about the size of the tip of a cotton swab and add that to the mineral spirits. For this filter you want alot of dilution with the Mineral Spirits as you don't want this filter to be totally opaque. This idea came from a Model Military International article by Dennis Brandle (June '2008) where he used this in the weathering process on a Panther tank. It's a nice effect. Dennis, in turn, said he got the technique from Miguel Jimenez' "F.A.Q." armor weathering book.
